The Social Hub in The Hague is hiring a Kitchen Porter on a stand-by basis to support larger hotel events. In this busy role you’ll wash dishes and equipment, keep floors and prep areas spotless, help unload deliveries and organize stock, adhere to HACCP and safety rules, and quickly spot and report hazards while supporting the kitchen team. No experience is required as full training is provided, though a background in cleaning or support is a plus and a positive, flexible team player mindset is essential. No experience? No problem. We’ll teach you everything. We're looking for someone on stand-by basis for when we have bigger events in our hotel.

What You’ll Do 

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly 
• Keep floors, surfaces, and bins clean following set routines 
• Make sure all kitchen areas, including storage and prep spaces, stay spotless 
• Help the kitchen team with basic tasks when needed – from unloading deliveries to organizing stock 
• Keep kitchen tools and equipment where they belong to support an efficient workflow 
• Follow hygiene and food safety rules like HACCP 
• Handle cleaning materials and gear safely and responsibly 
• Spot and report any issues or hazards right away 

What You’ll Have 

• No experience needed, we’ll train you 
• Some experience in a cleaning or support role is a plus 
• Comfortable working in a busy, active environment on your feet 
• A team player mindset with a positive, flexible attitude 
• Strong attention to detail and a sense of pride in cleanliness 
• Reliable and hard-working behind the scenes 
• Clear communication skills – able to follow instructions and ask when in doubt
