Join SGS New Zealand as a Laboratory Technician, with a key focus on Fire Assay and the preparation and analysis of geochemical and metallurgical samples.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing and analysing geochemical and metallurgical samples
  • Carrying out and supporting Fire Assay processes
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to client requirements
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures to maintain quality and consistency
  • Meeting daily sample processing targets
  • Maintaining equipment, workspaces, and accurate records
  • Working within strict Health & Safety guidelines

This position operates on a rotating shift roster:

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 4 days on, 4 days off
  • Typical hours: 05:30 – 17:30
