SGS is seeking hands-on Laboratory Casual Coal Technicians to join the Energy Minerals team in Paget, offering weekend-focused casual work on Saturdays and Sundays with occasional weekday shifts. You’ll support the preparation, testing and analysis of coal samples, follow strict sampling and reporting procedures, and keep equipment and records up to date using CCLAS and basic computer systems. Prior coal sampling or mineral laboratory experience is helpful but not essential; the role rewards reliability, safety focus and the ability to collaborate across shifts. SGS is seeking hands-on and reliable Laboratory Casual Coal Technicians to join our Energy Minerals team in Paget, QLD. These casual roles will primarily support weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays with the opportunity for additional weekday shifts when required.
In this role, you will support the preparation, testing and analysis of coal and related samples, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and in line with recognised standards. The position is ideal for someone seeking casual work with regular weekend availability, while also being open to intermittent weekday shifts.
About the roster: These casual positions will be predominantly used for Saturday and Sunday work, with weekday shifts offered intermittently when operational needs arise.
