American Iron & Metal is seeking a Labourer, Receiver for its Vanier site to receive metals, classify, unload, sort, weigh, and enter data into RECY software while handling admin tasks. You’ll help with opening and closing duties, process payments, prepare shipping documents, and operate equipment including a forklift, with PPE required and outdoor work in varying temperatures. At least one year in a similar role, a valid Class 5 license, knowledge of metal recycling, and a safety mindset are preferred. What we offer!
We are currently recruiting a Labourer, Non‑Ferrous Receiver for our Vanier site. Reporting to the Site Director, you will receive the various types of metals, perform an initial classification, and direct them to the appropriate locations. You will also participate in basic administrative aspects of daily operations.
