Citycare Property is hiring a Labourer/Trainee (Gardening) for full-time onsite work at Burnham Military Camp in Canterbury. The role offers gardening and grounds maintenance with training. You’ll plant, weed, prune, mulch, support landscape tasks, and learn to use tools safely while working with experienced team members and upholding health and safety standards. You’ll engage with NZDF staff and contractors. What matters most: genuine interest in gardening, a positive trainable attitude, and a strong safety focus. What You’ll Be Doing | Ngā Kawenga Takohanga

• Planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, and garden maintenance
• Supporting grounds and landscape maintenance activities
• Learning to safely use horticultural tools and equipment
• Working alongside experienced team members
• Following health, safety, and environmental standards
• Interacting professionally with NZDF personnel, contractors, and site users

• Interest in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Enjoy physical outdoor work
• Commitment to health and safety
• Full Class 1 licence preferred
• Able to meet NZDF security requirements
