WSP is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to join our supervision team for a major utilities and infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The role requires strong technical expertise in surveying, particularly in wet and dry utilities, and previous experience working with consultants on large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Conduct day-to-day surveying and setting out works for utilities (water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, electrical, telecom, etc.) in coordination with the site team.
  • Verify contractors’ survey data, setting out points, levels, and alignments to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Supervise and inspect trench excavations, duct banks, manholes, chambers, and pipe/cable routes to confirm alignment and levels.
  • Maintain survey records, field books, and as-built data in line with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, Civil/Utility Inspectors, and Contractor’s surveyors to resolve site issues.
  • Review and verify as-built drawings and survey submissions from contractors before final approval.
  • Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authorities’ standards and specifications (e.g., ADDC, TRANSCO, ADSSC, DOT, ADM).
  • Assist in preparing progress reports, technical records, and survey-related documentation for the project.
  • Monitor and ensure contractors adhere to health, safety, and quality standards while carrying out survey works.
  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years on utilities and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
  • Previous experience with an engineering consultant/supervision role is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of survey instruments (Total Station, GPS, Auto Level) and associated software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
  • Familiarity with authority requirements and utility standards in Abu Dhabi.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with contractors and stakeholders.
