Job Description

You will be responsible for:

Standards

  • Support with BIM execution plans, standards, and guidelines
  • Develop BIM standards, their implementation and enforcement under the direction/ guidance of the Senior/Lead Digital Coordinator
  • Support with template files as required
  • Check models and drawings for completeness and adherence to company standards.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance to ISO and British Standards during company audits with the assistance of the QA/QC manager
  • Provide guidance to the project team directly where required to ensure the correct standards and modelling methods are maintained
  • Develop procedures for clash detection using Navisworks, Revizto and ACC
  • Provide innovative ways to improve the efficiency of the project teams that help meet client requirements

Support

  • Address technical challenges related to BIM implementation
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during the project
  • Coordinate BIM file exchanges and archiving of milestone submittals/ data drops etc.
  • Assist the technical team with the production of clash detection / digital engineering reports

Training

  • Support the Senior/ Lead in any initiative undertaken.
  • Provide training to projects teams on the projects whilst supporting in BIM support tasks
  • Provide BIM orientation to new staff and explain EGIS BIM standards and modelling protocols
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in BIM

Project interface

  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updating of BIM models
  • Undertake project rectification tasks as required if projects are falling short of the standards and not passing audit requirements
  • Assist project teams in line with Senior/ Lead Digital Coordinator request
  • Support in complex modelling tasks
  • Support with project set ups (Including Navisworks, ACC and Revizto)
  • Create Content in response to technical team / Senior/Lead Digital Coordinator requirements.
  • Assist in resolving corrupt files, Model Auditing and recovery
  • Verify and validate the accuracy and completeness of BIM data
  • Organize and maintain project-related BIM data and documentation
  • Enforce BIM file naming conventions
  • Support with classification inputs and assessments
  • Support with ACC troubleshooting and permission management
  • Ensure projects are complying with the BEP

QA/QC

  • Verify model accuracy and integrity
  • Identify and resolve clashes or conflicts in the models
  • Regular model QAQC checks
  • Ensure BIM models comply with the established standards and protocols.
  • Using the Interoperability tools and other mechanisms, review model health in line with BSBG standards and industry best practice
  • Perform regular quality checks on BIM models and data
  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies, errors, and omissions in BIM deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, regulations, and industry standards
  • Implement and monitor BIM quality control procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, or equivalent education
  • Minimum of eight years of extensive experience and expertise in BIM design and collaboration
  • Proficient in using BIM software (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, Solibri, Revizto, ACC etc.)
  • Experience in visual scripting and parametric modeling (e.g., Dynamo, Grasshopper, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely to multiple stakeholders (e.g., clients, internal teams, etc.)
  • Proven ability to prioritize and adapt to changing business needs while managing multiple projects within strict deadlines and budgets
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a keen ability to offer suggestions and solutions to colleagues
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when necessary
