About the role

At Ampol, we've transformed the way we engage, manage and govern our contingent workforce, creating an exciting opportunity for a Lead – Contingent Workforce & Vendor Management to take ownership of this critical capability across the Ampol Group and regions.

You will lead the delivery of our contingent workforce and vendor management model, acting as the key operational link between Talent Acquisition, hiring leaders and suppliers. With accountability for contractor recruitment, supplier performance, governance compliance and workforce insights, you'll ensure our model operates efficiently, commercially and consistently while continually identifying opportunities to improve processes, elevate the hiring experience and maximise value from our supplier partnerships. This is a highly visible senior individual contributor role suited to a commercially minded workforce, vendor management or talent professional who thrives on influencing stakeholders, driving operational excellence and delivering meaningful business outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of Ampol's contingent workforce and supplier management model, ensuring a high-quality, compliant and commercially effective service.
  • Build strong partnerships with vendors, suppliers, Procurement and business leaders to optimise workforce outcomes and supplier performance.
  • Act as the custodian of contingent workforce governance, influencing stakeholders and driving consistent adoption of established workforce principles.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency and enhanced hiring manager experience.
  • Utilise workforce data and insights to inform decisions, manage risk and support ongoing optimisation of the contingent workforce program.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in Talent Acquisition operations, contingent workforce management, MSP environments or vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of contractor recruitment processes, supplier panel management and workforce governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, service delivery expectations and operational performance discussions.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance governance, business needs and stakeholder experience.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability, with experience translating data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge and guide leaders when required.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment while operating autonomously as a senior individual contributor
