Advice for applicants
Lead your resume with the core credential the role demands: your energy-focused commercial legal experience and your track record running cross‑functional projects in the energy space, especially any work with utilities on complex contracts or tenders.
Prove you meet the must-haves by highlighting a decade of general commercial legal work in top settings, concrete examples of managing multiple simultaneous requirements, and evidence of leading teams or projects across borders. If you have power sector exposure, call that out clearly with a short, concrete example.
Prepare to discuss real-world disputes, product liability or warranty scenarios, and how you’ve balanced legal risk with business goals. Have a story ready about guiding a regional team or collaborating with outside counsel to resolve a high-stakes issue.
Ask a smart question about the EMAP energy growth plan, specifically how network automation and renewables are shaping regional legal priorities and how the regional team collaborates with the global energy group to align on risk, compliance and strategy.
