Waracle are looking for a Lead Delivery Manager for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.

We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex  challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.

The Opportunity

Are you a collaborative leader who excels at turning a vision into a reality? We are looking for a Lead Delivery Manager to join our team to work within Public Sector projects. In this role, you won't just be managing tasks; you’ll be the bridge between strategy and execution, helping to "stand up" new workstreams and nurture them into a sustainable rhythm.

We value empathetic, hands-on leaders who can navigate complex environments with grace and clarity. If you enjoy building stability out of ambiguity and fostering strong partnerships across multi-supplier teams, we would love to hear from you.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Driving Rapid Mobilisation: You will transform strategic direction into executable work by detailing requirements and establishing early delivery foundations.

  • Establishing Agile Governance: You’ll implement robust delivery rhythms using Agile Scrum to ensure transparency and healthy feedback loops.

  • Collaborative Management: You will coordinate activities across internal teams and third-party partners, ensuring clear communication through Statements of Work (SoW).

  • Navigating Complexity: You’ll identify and handle inter-team dependencies to keep projects moving smoothly within multi-supplier environments.

  • Facilitating Technical Growth: Depending on your expertise, you may lead workstreams focused on DevSecOps and digital architecture (Build Factory) or Service Transition and BAU handover (Service Support).

Requirements

What you’ll bring:

  • Delivery Expertise: Proven experience managing and scaling delivery models

  • Agile Mindset: A track record of "standing up" projects quickly using Agile frameworks to move from concept to execution.

  • Partnership Skills: A natural ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and external vendors, including experience drafting SoWs.

  • Specialist Awareness: Knowledge of either DevSecOps/digital architecture or experience with Service Transition and BAU handover.

  • Strategic Growth: Hands-on experience within programs involving multiple concurrent workstreams; we value active leadership over purely administrative oversight.

  • Exceptional Communication: Strong IT literacy and the ability to connect with and support a wide variety of personality types.

The recruitment process you can expect for this role is an initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner who will chat with you about Waracle, what you are looking for in a new position, the salary for the role, notice period and benefits (the important stuff!).

After that, you'll be invited to a two-stage interview process where you have an opportunity to find out more about the role and showcase your skills and experience. Your Talent Acquisition Partner will guide you through the whole process to your first day with us.
