Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Finance or Economics with treasury or corporate finance experience, knowledge of financial risk management and instruments, IFRS and German GAAP for financial instruments, and strong IT skills with Tableau or Power BI, plus an international mindset and fluent English, German a plus. Your Role:

The Treasury Controlling & Reporting team is responsible for financial risk controlling, monitoring risk positions and limits, as well as for planning Treasury related financial KPIs. Moreover, we provide central reporting within Treasury, to the Group CFO and the Merck family. In addition, we support external reporting for actuals and guidance. Within Treasury we cover various financial risk positions like currency, liquidity, counterparty, or interest rate risks. In your position you will work in projects, continuously improve reporting processes and you will be an interface between Treasury and local subsidiaries, Group Accounting, Controlling & Tax. Your role is reporting to the Head of Treasury Controlling & Reporting.

 

Who you are:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree preferably with a major in Finance/Economics with a focus on Corporate Finance, Controlling or Banking
  • Work experience in corporate treasury, corporate finance, or related areas in banks
  • Knowledge of financial risk management and financial instruments
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS & German GAAP accounting, especially for financial instruments
  • High IT affinity and knowledge of digital processes & tools e.g., Tableau or Power BI
  • International mindset with very good language skills in English, German language knowledge is beneficial
  • Analytical skills and independent, result-oriented approach to work
  • Strong team player able to handle multiple priorities
