Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex geotechnical projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients.

• Senior role in our regional geotech team
• Support Lead Geotech engineer in developing staff capabilities and growing the business
• Lead delivery of Geotech projects
• Lead and oversee geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for large-scale infrastructure projects
• Develop and review geotechnical reports, calculations, and recommendations
• Manage project teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary groups, including clients and contractors
• Conduct site visits and field inspections to assess ground conditions and monitor construction activities
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Ensure compliance with local and international geotechnical standards and codes
• Develop and implement innovative geotechnical solutions to complex engineering challenges
• Contribute to business development efforts and proposal preparation
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in geotechnical engineering

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects
• Advanced knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and Rocscience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent project management abilities and experience leading project teams
• Effective communication and report writing skills
• Expertise in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability analysis, earthquake engineering, and ground improvement techniques
• Familiarity with local and international geotechnical standards and codes
• Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred
• Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., American Society of Civil Engineers) is desirable
