Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all structural engineering activities for the project during FEED, EPC, and detailed engineering phases.
  • Provide technical leadership for the design and analysis of onshore and offshore structural systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and international codes.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of structural deliverables, including design calculations, structural analysis reports, drawings, specifications, and material requisitions.
  • Perform and review structural analyses using industry-standard software for steel and concrete structures, equipment foundations, pipe racks, buildings, and offshore facilities.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of structural design with process, piping, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
  • Support constructability reviews, value engineering initiatives, and design optimization to achieve cost-effective and efficient solutions.
  • Review vendor documents and contractor submissions and provide timely technical comments and recommendations.
  • Ensure all structural engineering activities are executed in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZID, constructability workshops, and client meetings as required.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers, ensuring technical excellence and effective resource utilization.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve engineering issues and support successful project delivery. 

Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university, with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including a minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region.
  • Proven experience in FEED and EPC projects, preferably involving major offshore developments.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
  • Experience with ADNOC projects and offshore facilities is required.
  • Experience in PMC is required.
  • Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards such as AISC, API, ASCE, BS, Eurocodes, and ADNOC engineering standards.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural project environments.
