Bombardier is seeking a Leader, Logistics & Procurement for SOS Shop Saint-Laurent, a full-time on-site role in Québec. You will lead an engaged salaried team delivering critical aircraft parts across service and manufacturing environments, own HR duties including the partnership with Tech Mahindra, ensure conformity with Bombardier’s Quality System, foster a culture of excellence, define and deploy KPIs and governance for procurement and stock management, clarify roles with internal stakeholders, coordinate cross-function initiatives, drive continuous improvement and the deployment of Operational Excellence, and coach talent while sharing best practices. The ideal candidate has ERP planning proficiency, a bachelor’s degree in operations management, logistics or industrial engineering (or a college diploma with 5+ years in logistics/procurement), at least 2 years of management experience, strong leadership and bilingual English/French, with project management experience a plus. In your role, you will:
- Lead an engaged and experienced team of salaried employees towards delivery of critical parts supporting our aircraft in service, assembly lines, manufacturing sites and external customers
- Assume all HR responsibilities of the team, including the relationship with Tech Mahindra and their team supporting our activities
- Ensure the conformity of logistics and procurement processes as well as employee training in alignment with Bombardier’s Quality System
- Foster a culture of excellence supporting production activities
- Define and deploy KPIs & governance on procurement and stock management
- Clarify roles & responsibilities of your team with internal stakeholders
- Coordinate your team’s activities across other functions within the organization
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure deployment of our Operational Excellence system
- Coach your team to develop their talent within the organization
- Optimize the sharing of knowledge and best practices throughout the organization
How to thrive in this role?
As our ideal candidate,
- You have experience in planning and master the usage of ERP systems.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in operations management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a college diploma with over five (5) years of experience in a logistics or procurement team.
- You have minimum of two (2) years of management experience in this field of work.
- You have excellent management skills.
- You have good judgment, you are results oriented, able to work under minimum supervision and you observe tight delivery deadlines.
- You have extraordinary flexibility and are passionate about non-recurring work activities
- You are recognized for your leadership, communication and coaching skills, as well as mobilizing force with all your stakeholders.
- You are fully bilingual (English and French) written and spoken
- You have previous project management experience, would be an asset.
