Bombardier is hiring a Leader, Material Logistics to lead a team of about 10 at the Des Sources site in Québec, on a day shift, full time, onsite. You will plan and supervise daily logistics operations, resolve shortages with Internal Logistics and Suppliers, maintain production visibility, manage budgets, drive continuous improvement, and coach your team to grow while upholding safety and quality. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in administration or Operations Management, or five years of relevant logistics experience, strong planning and people leadership, and French proficiency with bilingualism a major asset; you don’t need all skills to apply. What are your contributions to the team?
- Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 10 employees.
- Monitor the purchased and manufactured shortages and resolving them with the Internal Logistics and Suppliers team.
- Ensure visibility to the production team on the resolution of shortages.
- Manage the budgets of your group and ensure the quality of the product.
- Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on them.
- Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
- Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain communication with other departments for any issues related to your sector.
- Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.
- Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
- Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
- Exercise your leadership while respecting the vision and values of Bombardier.
- Coach your team to develop their talent in the organization.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a bachelor’s degree in administration, Operations Management or five (5) years of relevant experience in Logistics.
- You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
- You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.
- You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments.
- You are motivated by a stimulating and fast changing environment.
- You are proficient in French (bilingualism a major asset).
