Leadership Tutor

About the role:
We are looking for an engaging and motivating Leadership Tutor to deliver our New Zealand Certificate in Leadership (Level 3) from our Hastings campus. This exciting new programme has been designed to help youth and learners looking to upskill to develop the confidence, leadership skills, and workplace behaviours needed to succeed in employment or continue into further study.
You'll create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where learners can explore their strength, develop communication and teamwork skills, strengthen their problem-solving abilities, and build the confidence to lead themselves and others. This is a highly interactive programme that requires a tutor who can make learning practical, engaging, and relevant to real-world situations.
About you:
We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping young people develop practical leadership skills and prepare for success in the workplace. You'll be an engaging facilitator who leads by example, inspires and motivates learners, and knows how to adapt your teaching style to keep students engaged and actively involved.
You will have the following skills and experience:
Experience leading or supervising teams in a workplace environment
Previous experience working with youth or young adults
The ability to engage, motivate and build confidence in learners
Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
An understanding of leadership principles and different leadership styles
A relevant qualification or industry experience
A willingness to complete an adult teaching qualification if not already held
