YOUR ROLE 

  • Manage, negotiate, draft and oversee a variety of leading-edge commercial and technology agreements, including agreements related to cloud service providers and data/services hosted by third parties, IT outsourcing and procurement, software licensing, software development, licensing agreements, information management, and data analytics
  • Serve as legal advisor on certain aspects of IP sourcing and IT sourcing, hosting, and subscription based service agreements, software license agreements
  • Identify legal risks and design strategies and plans to mitigate and prevent legal risks consistent with ST’s risk tolerance
  • Review agreements and documents and continuously seek ways to improve forms, processes, or systems involved, and advise on routine policy/procedural improvements
  • Provide legal consulting on business issues for the supported groups and divisions within ST; provide practical advice in response to rapidly changing conditions
  • Maintain up-to-date records of IT contracts, and foresee and take active steps to help advise on ways to mitigate potential post-closing liabilities 

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Master’s degree in IP law, technology law, or a related field from an EU Member State or Switzerland
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an international environment, in a law firm or in-house
  • Strong background in IP/IT law, commercial contracts, and/or procurement
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Basic AI prompting skills for legal work
  • Strong communication and adaptability in an international environment
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Business-level English required
  • French and/or Italian is a strong plus
