Henkel offers a six month onsite Legal Internship in Amsterdam for applicants based in the Netherlands who are students or recent graduates. What you´ll do
- Contractual Support: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, including supply agreements, confidentiality agreements, and intellectual property agreements.
- Operational Legal Support: Provide day-to-day legal support, including general administrative assistance to the legal team.
- Legal Tech & Innovation: Contribute to the implementation of legal tech solutions, including AI tools, within the Henkel legal team.
- Corporate Governance: Support the company secretary in corporate projects and corporate housekeeping tasks.
- Data Protection Compliance: Assist the data protection delegate in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research and contribute to internal knowledge management initiatives, including maintaining templates, FAQs, and legal updates.
- Training & Awareness: Support the preparation of internal legal training materials or awareness campaigns (e.g., on data protection, contract basics).
What makes you a good fit
- Education: Bachelor of Law as minimum with a focus on contract law, corporate law and international business law.
- Experience: Entry level; previous internships, law firm experience and/or paralegal experience are a plus
- Skills: Pragmatic, detail-orientated and eager to learn. You demonstrate responsiveness, organization, and
- analytical thinking. You have strong interpersonal skills that support team integration and collaboration.
- You are able to manage competing deadlines and multiple stakeholders, and work independently.
- Legal Competence: Ability to conduct legal research and draft clear, concise legal documents.
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional ethics is essential.
- Language: You have a perfect knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch is an additional asset.
- Technical Skills: Very good mastery of MS Office Tools required.
- Eligibility: Eligible to work in the Netherlands for a minimum of 6 months as of the start date and a commitment to complete the full-time internship the entirety of the six-month period.
