This is a challenging and interesting role as a legal counsel with a focus on legal and regulatory matters in relation to the provision of financial services (advisory and discretionary management) as well wealth planning solutions within the team Legal Investment Solutions & Distribution.Act as legal expert for financial and wealth planning services (including advisory and discretionary mandate services, as well as trust, pension and life insurance solutions)
Assess and review B2B documentation and agreements, particularly with external partners and providers, in relation to wealth planning services
Provide guidance to senior management and internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives
Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Switzerland and assess potential risks related to cross-border service provision (incl. civil liability and regulatory risks)
Support legal colleagues participating in internal committees by providing wealth planning expertise
Contribute to strategic projects and deliver ad-hoc legal support, offering efficient, client-oriented solutions related to FinSA and MiFID
Master’s degree in law (preferably from a Swiss University) and admission to the bar; additional qualifications such as an LL.M. are an asset
1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in a law firm, financial institution of consulting firm
Profound understanding of Swiss banking and contract law as well as the Swiss regulatory landscape
Analytical, structured and solution orientated with a proactive approach and capable of translating legal requirements into business-oriented solutions
A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as a team-player in groups
Ability to perform under pressure and efficiently handle different competing tasks and priorities
Good communication skills and a natural capacity to convincingly share ideas
Excellent proficiency in English and German, knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage
