Infinite Aged Care is seeking a part time Lifestyle Assistant at our new Knoxfield home to support residents, families and colleagues seven days a week across AM, PM and night shifts, working with nursing and engagement teams in a compassionate, resident centred and safety first setting. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in aged care, a big heart, the ability to think on your feet, and strong communication to build rapport with residents and co workers. Essential: First Aid and CPR; understanding person centred care; Certificate IV Leisure and Lifestyle preferred, Certificate III desirable; NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain; excellent safety awareness; teamwork, time management and a positive, engaging personality. Our Personal Carer & Engagement Worker (PCEWs) or Lifestyle Assistants are highly interactive supporting our elderly residents, their families and colleagues 7 days a week across AM, PM and Nightshifts.

This role based at our brand-new Melbourne care home location at Knoxfield (Residential Aged Care Facilities - Our Locations | Infinite Care) will see you working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. About You

At Infinite Care we hire for heart, so our best people are highly empathic, instil a strong work ethic and passionate about making a difference to the elderly. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and the ability to “think on your feet”, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also

• Current First Aid and CPR certification is essential.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles and their application in lifestyle programs with basic knowledge of the emotional, social, and physical needs of older adults. 
• Qualifications across Certificate IV Leisure and Lifestyle is applicable for this role. Certificate III is also desirable.
• Hold (*or willingness to obtain) the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector
• Excellent safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears!
• Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and always follow strict safety procedures to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.

Our care roles are busy! Alot of bending, lifting, pushing and squatting to perform your duties safely. All candidates will be required to complete an online medical assessment to maintain personal and workplace safety standards.
