General Characteristics (Job Summary)

• Supervise the work of logistics to ensure that department goals and objectives are met.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Managing logistics procedures for general and project cargo vessels..
• To assist with the operational management and handling of breakbulk, project, and general cargo.
• To manage the selection process of logistics forwarder.
• Expertise in breakbulk/project cargo handling and breakbulk vessel chartering operations.
• Control and coordinate with forwarder, other logistics partner, custom, and government entity, if any.
• Manage and ensure the material to be delivered to site on time without delay.
• Managing and expediting vendor production schedules to ensure timely material readiness.
• To know basic study of route survey and study.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience.
• Significant knowledge of logistics.
• Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants.
• Engineering and Construction Company working experience.

Skills and knowledge

• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Ability to review logistics documents.
• Ability to control and coordinate with forwarder, other logistics partner, custom, and government entity, if any.
• Familiarity with various logistics systems, especially with EPC Companies.
• Working in logistics for construction of plants.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields.

Others

• UAE Driving License is advantageous
