This position manages, performs, and provides oversight of third-party logistics (3PL) shipping processes, inventory control and reconciliation, problem resolution, and external material flow at Wacker’s external warehouses and tolling partners. The role is responsible for warehouse and toller logistics support and management to ensure customer delivery requirements are consistently met. Responsibilities include managing the overall operational relationship with external warehouses; overseeing 3PL shipments, returns, and damaged product processes; and working closely with Supply Chain, 3PL providers, and Customer Service to resolve shipment issues. The position serves as the main operational contact for logistics-related IT requests and troubleshooting through the Logistics Control Tower (LCT), acts as the primary source for resolving LCT issues related to EDI errors, and functions as the backup for all offsite warehousing activities in SAP and shipping systems. The role also monitors customer complaints, identifies trends, and supports root cause analysis and corrective actions with warehouse partners. Additional responsibilities include maintaining Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation and work processes, participating in internal and external audits, assisting in the preparation of scopes of work for logistics contracts to ensure alignment with Wacker standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and support the timely movement of product. Work requires the use of experience and judgment for tasks of moderate complexity with limited guidance on more complex activities.
