Simplot Kelso is hiring a permanent, full-time Maintenance Electrician for the Kelso seafood and snacking plant in WA. You’ll work a rotating Mon-Fri day, afternoon and night shift with weekend OT, performing planned and breakdown electrical work on fixed plant, plus PLC diagnostics and CMMS (MEX) tasks and CI projects. Base rate is $54.08 per hour for candidates holding both Cert III Electrotechnology and Cert III Instrumentation and Control, plus 15% afternoon and 30% night shift allowances, with weekly electrical licence ($72.80) and tool ($23.28) allowances. Here at Simplot Kelso we're seeking applicants for the full-time, permanent position of Maintenance Electrician. Simplot Kelso is our seafood and snacking processing plant, producing approx. 50 tonnes of product daily (75 SKUs) for the retail and foodservice markets including Birds Eye, I&J and Captain's Catch branded products. The site employs approx. 120 local employees, with approximately 95% of manufactured goods consisting of either Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) or Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seafood.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager (via the Electrical Team Lead), the Maintenance Electrician will perform planned, opportunity and breakdown electrical activities on a wide range of fixed plant and equipment in alignment with the site's Maintenance & Production schedules that support optimisation of plant reliability, improvements related to employee safety, and site continuous improvement activities.
The Maintenance Electrician will work across a rotating Mon-Fri day / afternoon / night shift roster with weekend OT available (double time penalty rates apply for all weekend OT).
Working closely with the wider Maintenance (incl. Control Systems / Mechanical / Planning / Stores etc) teams in addition to the Production team - this hands on, technical role will provide electrical expertise to Simplot Kelso's operations by;
