Bel Brands is hiring a Maintenance Planner for its Little Chute, Wisconsin site on a full-time, on-site basis. The company traces its roots to a 160-year history of bold innovation and family values, and it operates with a social purpose that guides its U.S. mission to help close the nutrition gap by making fruits, vegetables and dairy easier to incorporate into daily life. The portfolio includes Babybel, GoGo squeeZ, The Laughing Cow and Boursin.

Headquartered in Chicago and New York City, Bel Brands runs four manufacturing plants across the country, including the Little Chute site along with facilities in Brookings, SD; Traverse City, MI; and Nampa, ID.

If you enjoy keeping maintenance tasks organized, coordinating parts and crews, and supporting technicians in a hands-on plant environment, this role could fit you well.

Keeping the maintenance calendar on track at the Little Chute site

The Maintenance Planner handles the administrative side of the maintenance department, including parts inventory, invoicing, receiving and maintaining essential reports, while helping plan and coordinate maintenance events with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Leads. The job requires building visibility into preventive maintenance and work orders, ensuring the right parts are on hand and backing up planning whenever needed.

In daily practice, the role tracks maintenance metrics for PCS meetings, uses SAP to support operations, and serves as a training resource for maintenance technicians. They maintain inspection files for outside agencies and coordinate with external contractors for repairs or services. The position also serves as a backup for the Maintenance Coordinator, and other duties may be assigned as needed.

Advice for applicants

Tip 1: Put your three years of administrative experience up front on your resume and connect it to maintenance tasks like inventory management, invoicing and reporting, plus any coordination of preventive maintenance and work orders.

Tip 2: Demonstrate your MS Office skills with concrete examples, and mention any SAP exposure. If you’ve built KPI dashboards or regular reports, describe the impact and note the KPI items that show up in PCS meetings.

Tip 3: Be ready to talk through a concrete time you coordinated a maintenance event, including parts availability and working with Maintenance Leads, and emphasize how you kept safety, GMP and food safety practices in view.

Tip 4: Ask about how the maintenance planning process actually works day-to-day, what success looks like in the first 90 days, and how KPI data informs decisions in PCS meetings. Consider asking how the role interacts with outside contractors and the maintenance team.
