Scoular is hiring a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician in Seward, NE to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and repair mechanical, electrical and PLC controlled equipment across the plant; you’ll keep maintenance records, manage spare parts, and communicate status to management. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of maintenance experience, food-industry exposure preferred, an associate degree preferred, and comfort with industrial electronics and Microsoft Office. Expect a mix of indoor cooling environments and outdoor extremes, with occasional loud equipment and high places. The role of the Maintenance Technician’s will work on all mechanical and equipment issues, preventative maintenance and minor electrical repairs as needed. S/he needs to know and understand the function and construction of the equipment and machine foundation and operation. S/he will communicate regularly with employees and management on equipment status.
