The Opportunity

This role would be responsible for ensuring that the building, building systems, production equipment, and exterior grounds are maintained at a high level of reliability and safe operating condition.

The Team

This is a permanent full-time position that reports directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program with an emphasis on the planning and scheduling of preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Coordinate and manage repair and maintenance projects, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs.
  • Oversee the efficient operation of utilities, including water, electricity, and HVAC systems.
  • Help manage maintenance critical spares with respect to lead times and safe storage.
  • Research parts and contractor services, obtain and evaluate quotes if needed, make recommendations, and submit purchase requisitions for required materials and services with the purchasing department.
  • Optimize asset efficiency and reliability through proactive strategies and efficient processes to prevent equipment downtime, maximize asset life, improve safety, and enhance equipment performance.
  • Plan, schedule, supervise, and assist with all activities and projects of the maintenance function, including but not limited to ongoing preventive maintenance tasks, and major/minor mechanical systems repair and maintenance.
  • Order and maintain a regular inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Supervise/perform the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment.
  • Work with Supervisors and employees on daily equipment checks, pre-operational inspections, and small repairs/tools servicing.
  • Regularly inspect both interior and exterior of the facilities (building, yard, tent, etc.) to identify needed maintenance and repair work.
  • keep the contractors records updated and accessible.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and respond to departments’ maintenance requests.
  • Carry out the maintenance of records (service reports, work permits, etc.) of all maintenance work.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a similar role, in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with CNC, Paint Booth, and Welding repairs
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in elevated equipment, and drive mobile equipment. Driver's License (Required)
  • High sense of urgency and ownership of work
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Solid understanding of maintenance processes and techniques
  • Proven track record in employee relations and management with the ability to deal effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of team members
  • Results orientated and ability to work as part of a functional team
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
