ASSA ABLOY seeks a full-time on-site Maintenance Technician in Dubai to perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors and rotating assets. You’ll diagnose faults, conduct alignment, balancing, lubrication and calibration, replace defective components, read engineering drawings, and maintain records in the CMMS while ensuring safety and permit-to-work compliance and supporting shutdowns and coordinating with production and engineering to minimize downtime. Requirements include a Diploma/ITI/technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering and 2–5+ years in industrial maintenance; safety or rotating equipment certifications are advantageous. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes of equipment breakdowns.
  • Conduct equipment alignment, balancing, lubrication, and calibration activities.
  • Replace defective components and perform overhauls as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and company HSE procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports using CMMS systems.
  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before equipment failure occurs.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma/ITI/Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Relevant certifications in safety, maintenance, or rotating equipment are advantageous.
