What You'll Do:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, repair and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems at our Laverton Manufacturing Facility. This role plays a practical part in keeping operations running safely, efficiently and in line with production needs by:

 

  • Conducting regular inspections, servicing and preventative/reactive maintenance across plant equipment.
  • Responding to equipment failures and supporting the safe, timely restoration of operations.
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new and existing equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including work orders, permits, equipment logs and spare parts inventory.
  • Working closely with production and manufacturing leaders to align maintenance activities with operational schedules.
  • Supporting audits, engineering SOPs, training records and maintenance-related procedures.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on plant reliability, downtime and production efficiency.
  • Maintaining supplier relationships and coordinating contractors required for plant activities.
  • Ensuring maintenance activities comply with OH&S requirements and company standards for hazardous substances.

What You'll Bring:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical and/or Fitter & Turner qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same or a similar maintenance role.
  • Understanding of manufacturing or engineering processes and safety requirements.
  • Forklift Licence and Yellow Card - EWPA Licence.
  • Medium to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Inventory management capability, attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  • A safe working approach and practical problem-solving skills.
  • · Experience with MEX, fabrication, hot works or chemical manufacturing would be highly regarded.
