ASSA ABLOY is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for an onsite role in Dubai. The role covers preventive and corrective electrical maintenance of motors, panels and equipment, troubleshooting faults, installing wiring, inspecting systems, reading basic drawings, testing for safe operation, and supporting breakdowns and shutdowns while following safety rules and keeping records. You’ll work with operations to minimize downtime and maintain tools and housekeeping. Ideal candidates have ITI, diploma or technical certificate in electrical fields and 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, plus ability to read diagrams and use testers; relevant certifications are a plus. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in motors, panels, and equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and replace electrical wiring, cables, switches, and components.
  • Inspect electrical systems and identify potential problems.
  • Read basic electrical drawings and follow work instructions.
  • Test electrical equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Assist with equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.
  • Follow safety procedures, permit requirements, and company HSE guidelines.
  • Complete maintenance records and work orders.
  • Support shutdowns and maintenance activities as required.
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and good housekeeping standards.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • ITI, Diploma, or Technical Certificate in Electrical or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environment.
  • Basic knowledge of motors, electrical panels, wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and use testing equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical safety practices and procedures.
  • Relevant electrical or safety certifications are an advantage.
