At our Darmstadt location, we are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d) who will operate, further develop, and sustainably strengthen our IT security landscape with strong technical expertise.
Your Responsibilities
Administration, operation, and continuous optimization of modern security solutions such as firewalls, EDR/XDR, email and web security, NAC, SIEM, and vulnerability management
Monitoring of the IT security environment as well as analysis and handling of security events and incidents in close collaboration with internal departments and external partners
Execution, assessment, and follow-up of vulnerability analyses, including support for patch management and technical hardening measures
Support in the implementation of security standards and regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of NIS2, ISO 27001, and BSI IT-Grundschutz
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, security policies, and operational processes
Support for IT projects through security-by-design and security-related evaluation of new technologies
Continuous development of the security architecture and optimization of existing security processes
Your Profile
Completed degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a comparable IT qualification
Several years of professional experience in the administration of IT security solutions
Sound knowledge in several of the following areas: firewall management, endpoint security (EDR/XDR), web and email security, network access control (NAC), SIEM or SOC environments, and vulnerability management
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux administration as well as TCP/IP, routing, and switching
Knowledge of information security standards such as ISO 27001, NIS2, or BSI IT-Grundschutz is an advantage
Basic knowledge of, or practical experience in, operating an Information Security Management System (ISMS)
Structured and analytical way of working combined with strong problem-solving skills
Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken
