Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. About the Position:
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Manager - Race & Sports to join the resort’s Card Games and Sports team.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of all Race and Sports operations, ensuring departmental objectives and service standards are achieved.
Manage daily race and sports wagering operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all applicable regulations and internal controls.
Monitor wagering activity, betting trends, and operational performance to maximized revenue and guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with Compliance, Finance, Marketing, IT, Security, and other departments to ensure seamless operational execution.
Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and service standards to support operational excellence.
Support the launch and implementation of new wagering products, technologies, and operational initiatives.
Coordinate regular events, working cross-functionally with Food & Beverage, Marketing, and Operations to deliver viewing parties and promotional activations that drive traffic and guest engagement.
Analyze operational and financial data, prepare performance reports, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Ensure all team members maintain a thorough understanding of race and sports wagering products, systems, and procedures.
Recruit, train, develop, and manage team members to foster a high-performance culture and maximized employee engagement.
Promote exceptional guest service standards, ensuring all guest interactions reflect Wynn's luxury service philosophy.
Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and the overall guest experience.
Investigate and resolve operational issues, guest concerns, and wagering disputes in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders as required.
Support the Vice President – Card Games and Sports Events in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and departmental initiatives.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Gaming Management, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Race and Sports operations or sports wagering, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of race and sports wagering operations, betting systems, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
A deep knowledge and understanding of Sporting culture in the GCC and surrounding markets.
Demonstrated experience managing teams in a fast-paced and guest-focused environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to interpret financial and operational reports and make informed business decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant wagering and operational systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining operational excellence.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement in all business matters.
