Grant Thornton Switzerland Liechtenstein is seeking a Manager for Regulatory and Compliance FS (80-100% onsite) in Geneva to advise Swiss and international banks, asset managers and other financial service providers on regulations such as the Banking Act, FINIA, FINSA, AMLA, CISA and FINMA licensing. The role includes handling complex legal issues, delivering risk and compliance consulting and outsourcing, and leading prudential audit mandates. Ideal candidates have 4–5 years in a similar Swiss role, preferably Big4, a Law or Economics degree with a focus on financial law, and fluency in French and English. Your tasks
- You take responsibility for advising Swiss and international banks, asset managers and other financial service providers on all financial market regulations, including the Banking Act, FINIA, FINSA, AMLA, CISA, ESG, FINMA licensing, etc.
- You are processing complex legal issues, taking into account Swiss legislation and international influences
- As engagement manager, you provide risk and compliance consulting and outsourcing services for financial services clients
- You will work on and be responsible for prudential audit mandates as a specialist in financial regulations
- You contribute to interdisciplinary projects and support internal initiatives and strategic tasks
Your profile
- University degree in Law or in Economics with a strong interest in financial law
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role in Switzerland, ideally in a Big4 or comparable environment
- Strong customer and team orientation as well as a high level of commitment
- Fluent in French and English
