Manager Supply Chain Management (F/H)
DanfossDanfoss, a global technology company with a broad footprint in industrial solutions, is looking for a Manager Supply Chain Management to join its Sartrouville factory in France. This onsite role centers on aligning purchasing, supply planning and production scheduling to guarantee business continuity, boost cost competitiveness, and prepare the site for future readiness. The company’s business is built on delivering reliable, efficient solutions to industrial customers, and this position sits at the heart of keeping the site running smoothly. If you enjoy leading change, building data-driven processes, and guiding a small team through transformation, you could be a great fit.
The role gives you ownership of procurement and supply planning, and you’ll steer the factory through a transition from legacy ways of working to modern, scalable processes that align with Danfoss standards. You’ll work hands-on to shape how purchasing, planning and production scheduling interact, ensuring alignment across functions and with the wider Danfoss framework. This is a unique chance to influence long-term supplier strategy and to lead a team as the site moves toward a stable, industrial operating model.
Ready to make a difference at the Sartrouville site? This position is intended for someone who wants to drive real change, shape a future-ready supply chain, and collaborate with production, sales and logistics teams to keep products available and costs in check.
Shaping the supply chain at the Sartrouville site
You’ll craft a clear strategy that blends procurement with Danfoss policies and guide purchasing and supplier relationships accordingly. The role involves reshaping the supplier landscape, consolidating vendors, negotiating solid contracts, pressing for cost improvements, and ensuring long-term reliability. On the planning side, you’ll own both supply and production planning, working closely with production, sales and logistics to secure product availability while optimizing cash flow and inventory levels. You’ll drive performance through data, establishing KPIs for suppliers and inventory, leveraging SAP insights to fuel continuous improvement initiatives. Finally, you’ll lead and develop a small team through change, addressing resistance and shaping a collaborative, accountable working culture.
What you’ll need to bring to the role
You’ll need an academic degree or vocational training in logistics, supply chain management, procurement or a related field. Several years of practical experience in procurement and logistics are required, ideally in the industrial sector, along with experience in people leadership. The role calls for strong stakeholder management and solid communication skills, plus an ability to take charge in a transformation by building structure, processes, KPIs, and contract management from the ground up and guiding an experienced team through change with clarity and determination. A solid SAP background and comfort working with data to support planning, inventory and supplier performance are essential. Fluency in French and very good English in speaking and writing round out the must-haves. Nice-to-haves: a background in the industrial sector is a plus, and additional experience leading teams through change would be beneficial.

Advice for applicants
Put your most relevant experience right at the top of your resume, especially examples that show you led supply chain transformation, integrated procurement with planning, and used SAP data to drive decisions in a manufacturing setting.
When you describe your must-have skills, offer a tight, numbers-driven example of what you achieved: how you consolidated suppliers, improved contract terms, and moved inventory or cash flow in a measurable way.
In interviews, be ready to outline how you would structure the transformation from legacy methods to modern, data-driven processes, including the KPIs you’d implement and how you’d set up contract management from scratch, all while guiding a team through change with empathy and clarity.
Ask a sharp question about the site’s priorities: what are the top changes they want in the first 12 months, and how is SAP currently used to support planning and supplier performance? A question like this shows you’re already thinking about practical, site-specific improvements.
