Essential background includes prior manufacturing experience and proficiency in Lean Six Sigma, CAD (SolidWorks), and ERP/data tools. Key duties are resolving process issues, optimising workflows, leading 5S and Lean initiatives, and producing SOPs and risk assessments. Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Curved Rail Manufacture Department based in Newburn.
This job will involve supporting day-to-day production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing productivity, quality, efficiency, and safety across operations. You will play a key role in optimising manufacturing workflows and contributing to both business-as-usual improvements and longer-term new product introduction (NPI) activities.
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will work full-time, Monday - Thursday: 07:15 - 15:45, Friday: 07:15 - 12:15. This job is a permanent contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to develop their skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to innovative projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
To be successful as the Manufacturing Engineer, it is essential that you have previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, CAD (SolidWorks), and ERP systems would be desirable.
