Vertiv is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Lead Associate for a full-time onsite role in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will perform inspections on incoming materials (copper, breakers), in-process and final checks, and pre-dispatch and dispatch verifications, plus first-off and hourly checks to ensure 100 percent quality in the assigned area. You will document results, maintain QA/QC records, calibrate equipment, and uphold QMS, EMS and OHSAS standards while mentoring operators and supporting fabrication plans. Requirements include Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience, strong electrical concepts, advanced computer skills, leadership and communication.   • Required to perform inspection activities relating to incoming materials like copper, breakers, in-process inspection, final inspection, pre-dispatch and dispatch inspection.
  • Ensure the conduct of verification activities pertaining to the 1st off inspection and in-process checks on all processes.
  • Perform hourly checks on the defined critical processes to ensure quality consistency.
  • Full time inspection focus on the assigned area covering 100% quality checks as per the established inspection checkpoints.
  • Support in the conduct of in-process checks during the work in progress activity by production members. 
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Identify issues related to quality, health and safety and environmental noncompliance and make the necessary report.
  • Keeps measurement equipment’s operating by following operating instructions; performing timely calibration, calling for repairs
  • Maintain the company’s interest in the production schedule and fabrication quality
  • Advise managers and supervisors on application of industry standards with emphasis on expediting the completion of fabrication and maintaining of fabrication plans
  • Maintain QA/QC records as necessary for tracking of all inspection activities and material traceability
  • Attend QA/QC meetings and prepare meeting notes as needed
  • Assure site quality systems (internal audits, preventive and corrective actions, quality procedures, process control, any product spec review, process capability review) are in place.
  • Assist with the preparation of quality training modules, risk assessments and standard operating procedures for all H&S & Environmental activities.
  • Mentor and be an example to all lower Grade production operators. Effective use of skills and knowledge to promote Quality, H&S & Environmental management system.
  • Ensure routine tasks are completed daily.

Qualification

Mechanical/Electrical Engineer

Minimum 3-4 years’ experience

Competence

Technically strong in Electrical concepts 

Strong knowledge in QMS, EMS & OHSAS
