Material Handler, CAR-T Warehouse Operations

Position Summary

Join a team at the forefront of life-changing innovation. As a Material Handler in CAR-T Warehouse Operations, you will play a vital role in supporting the production of cutting-edge cell therapies that are transforming the lives of patients. In this role, you will manage material needs and requirements for CAR-T production in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within controlled and/or classified environments. You'll work alongside a collaborative, mission-driven team on an assigned production shift schedule, with the opportunity to contribute directly to quality investigations and production continuity.

Shift: Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM Shift Differential: 10% pay differential included

What You'll Do

  • Perform comprehensive inventory control, including cycle counts, material stocking, and scrapping
  • Manage material expiry, allocation, and condition requirements to ensure production readiness
  • Quantify and maintain materials within the production dispensary with precision
  • Uphold on-time logistics by adhering closely to the production schedule
  • Accurately document material handling data in a clear, concise format following Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
  • Thrive in a cross-functional, team-based environment to complete all warehousing tasks required by the shift schedule
  • Communicate production deviations and support quality investigations as needed
  • Maintain flexibility to support operations across both Summit and Warren, NJ sites
  • Maintain availability for overtime when business needs arise
  • Adhere to all regulatory and cGMP requirements while performing job functions

Reporting Relationship

The Material Handler, CAR-T Warehouse Operations reports directly to the Manager, CAR-T Warehouse Operations.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Understanding of cGMP/FDA regulated industry standards
  • Solid basic mathematical skills
  • Technical writing capability
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experience or familiarity with inventory control and/or management

Education & Experience (one of the following):

  • 🎓 Bachelor's Degree (any discipline)
  • 🎓 Associate's or Medical/Technical Degree + 0–2 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience
  • 🎓 High School Diploma/GED + 2–4 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience

Bonus Points For:

  • Background in biology, chemistry, medical, or clinical practices

  • Comfort working in laboratory, cleanroom, and controlled/restricted environments
  • Required use of cleanroom garments and PPE (covering head, face, core body, and legs/feet) in designated areas
  • Routine exposure to human blood components — candidates must be comfortable working in this setting
  • Restrictions apply in designated areas: no makeup, gum, nail polish, or other potential microbial sources
  • Clean room environments include enclosed, restricted spaces with assigned pressure and temperature conditions, as well as exposure to reagents, chemicals, and sanitization agents
  • Certain areas may restrict outside materials such as food, cell phones, and tablets

This role has no direct reports. Additional duties may be assigned as the business evolves.

Compensation Overview:

Summit West - NJ - US: $22.14 - $26.83per hour

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work.
