CERN seeks a Mechanical Engineer for the FCC project EP-FCC-2026-51-GRAE in Geneva, full time and onsite. You will join physicists and engineers to design an electromagnetic calorimeter based on a novel technology, produce detailed CAD models, evaluate construction techniques, and develop a supporting structure while coordinating with the MDI group and simulations teams. Essential: CAD experience in mechanical design, creativity and problem solving, ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, and fluent English with a commitment to learn French. Eligibility requires nationality of a CERN Member or Associate Member State, a maximum of two years post graduation experience, and a Bachelor or Master degree (no PhD, no prior CERN fellowship). The role is 24 months, hybrid, starting 01 April 2026.
