Job Description
- Assist mechanical technicians in installation, maintenance, and repair work; support fitting, welding, piping, and equipment alignment activities.
- Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Handle and organize Mechanical tools, materials, and equipment on-site.
- Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and bending conduit and trays.
- Ensure the proper use and care of personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety standards and guidelines.
- Assist in troubleshooting and identifying issues related to Mechanical systems and tray installations.
- Load and unload materials and tools at construction sites as needed.
- Help with securing cable tray covers and maintaining organized systems for cable management.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work closely with the team to complete tasks on time .
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role, preferably in oil and gas construction projects.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and materials; familiarity with cable tray installation.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow instructions to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with electricians, supervisors, and other crew members.
- High school or relevant technical training is preferred.
