CleanCo is seeking a Mechanical Technician to keep Kareeya and Koombooloomba hydro power stations operating safely, reliably and efficiently. What you'll contribute to

As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping CleanCo’s Kareeya and Koombooloomba hydro power stations operating safely, reliably and efficiently. You’ll apply your mechanical trade expertise to maintain, repair and improve complex power station plant and equipment, while helping protect long-term asset integrity.

 

In this role you’ll:

  • Deliver planned and reactive mechanical maintenance to keep plant availability high
  • Investigate faults, identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions
  • Plan and schedule work, including parts, resources and isolation requirements
  • Support plant operations and emergency response when required
  • Contribute to capital works and plant improvement projects using MOC processes
  • Guide contractors and support technical work on site
  • Improve procedures, documentation and maintenance practices over time

 

This role is a full-time, permanent position that works 36.25 hours over a Tuesday to Friday roster and is based at Kareeya Power Station. Relocation assistance will be provided should you not already live locally to the Kareeya Power Station.

 

On your first day we expect you to have:

  • A recognised mechanical trade qualification and an Associate Diploma of Mechanical Engineering – essential.
  • Solid experience maintaining heavy industrial or power station plant
  • Experience working with hydropower or rotating plant environments
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and execute maintenance work safely
  • Experience working with contractors and technical documentation
  • Confidence using maintenance and business systems
