This full-time on-site Medical Assistant Certified role with TGH USF Bariatrics at Harborside Medical Tower in Tampa offers a hands-on mix of clinical and clerical support under the department manager and lead medical staff. The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED, is Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant or MA-ARMA, has Basic Life Support, and brings at least 3 months of healthcare experience. You’ll room patients, assist with procedures, manage lab referrals and results, handle chart prep, and keep equipment clean while documenting in the EHR. The position is Monday through Friday day shift, on site, with a listed minimum salary of 37,252.80. Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant follows policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming in addition to assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, obtaining referral notes, images and lab results prior to patient visits.
