Metal & Inventory Controller at MKS PAMP is a hands-on role securing robust control design and operating effectiveness for metal movements and inventory in a factory setting. Control Design & Operating Effectiveness
· Support in design, document, audit and maintain controls related to metal/material movements and inventory tracking.
· Conduct regular reviews of control operating effectiveness, identifying gaps or weaknesses.
· Perform detailed tests of movements and adjustments to confirm adherence to documented procedures.
· Coordinate with production, operations and logistics to clarify movement discrepancies and enforce control standards.
Inventory Monitoring & Reconciliation
· Monitor inbound/outbound metal movements and validate accuracy in inventory systems.
· Reconcile inventory records with physical counts and system transactions to identify variances.
· Perform cause analysis of discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
· Support cycle count programs and lead investigations of root causes in count differences.
Physical Inventory Support
· Support to plan, execute and document physical inventory counts.
· Support to prepare inventory count procedures, control test criteria, and reports.
Process Improvement & Governance
· Propose improvements to policies, procedures, and system controls to strengthen inventory accuracy and control design.
· Collaborate with Production, Logistics, and IT teams to streamline processes and reduce error rates.
· Review process flows, controls, and training material for physical movements of metals.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
· Prepare reports on inventory accuracy, control deviations, test results, and improvement initiatives.
· Act as key interface between quality assurance, operations, IT and factory leadership on metal movement / inventory and control issues.
· Support internal/external audits with evidence, reconciliations, and control design documentation.
5–10 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, or Logistics.
Proven experience in inventory control, material control, or a related function within a manufacturing or factory environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, or Logistics (preferred).
Demonstrated experience in control design, inventory reconciliation, and process improvement.
Hands-on experience with ERP and inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Italian speaking is mandatory, conversational in English
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capability.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and data reviews.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate findings clearly across functions.
Knowledge of quality control standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 9001 or similar frameworks) is a plus.
