Bombardier is seeking a Methods Agent to join Aerospace Canada in Québec on a full-time onsite basis, with travel to supplier sites and, where applicable, flexible or hybrid options. In this role you will lead change management through first unit delivery, nurture supplier relationships to optimize quality, time and cost, and ensure on-time delivery of parts produced by external manufacturers. The ideal candidate has at least five years in machined metal or sheet metal manufacturing or as a Methods Agent, plus proficiency with Catia V5, SolidWorks and TeamCenter and SAP experience; bilingual English and French is essential. Aerospace and outsourcing experience are assets, as are strong ethics, customer focus, analytics, planning and collaboration. What are your contributions to the team?

  • Manage change management activities up to the delivery of the first unit and ensure adherence to the product development schedule with suppliers for the external manufacturing commodity.
  • Maintain supplier relationships to ensure customer satisfaction while optimizing quality, time, and costs for the organization.
  • Manage and influence suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of parts at the best possible cost.
  • Travel to supplier sites to support and validate manufacturing methods for our parts according to Bombardier requirements.
  • Analyze information related to our parts to support supplier selection.
  • Participate in cost-reduction initiatives based on established objectives.
  • Identify and contribute to improvement projects (BOE / Workshops) while maintaining and developing commercial relationships with the supplier base.
  • Work closely with logistics planners to meet production requirements.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing of machined metal parts and/or sheet metal, or as a Methods Agent supporting the production of such parts.
  • You have experience with Catia V5, SolidWorks, and TeamCenter.
  • Experience in external manufacturing (outsourcing) is an asset.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is an asset.
  • You have experience with SAP.
  • You demonstrate strong ethics and are customer-oriented.
  • You possess strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, as well as good interpersonal abilities.
  • You are bilingual (spoken and written English and French).
  • You are available to travel to supplier sites – an asset.
