J D Irving, Limited is seeking a reliable, motivated Industrial Mechanic Millwright for its South Bay Chip Plant in Saint John, full time onsite, at $40.90 per hour with benefits in a safe, supportive workplace close to home. You will install, maintain and repair mechanical and industrial equipment, perform SMAW and FCAW welding, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance, and repair conveyors, gearboxes and hydraulics while identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring quality, safety and environmental standards. Requirements include an Industrial Mechanics diploma (Bloc 1 or higher), two to five years in an industrial setting, and willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays; strong problem solving, teamwork, communication, and a solid work ethic are essential. • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and industrial equipment in a production environment
• Perform SMAW and FCAW welding in all positions
• Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, and conduct preventive maintenance on machines
• Repair or replace chains, belt conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and more using electronic tools
• Identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards

Education: Industrial Mechanics diploma (Minimum Bloc 1 or higher)

• Experience: 2-5 years in an industrial environment
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Must meet JDI selection criteria
• Quality-focused and detail-oriented
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to unexpected situations
• Strong work ethic, discipline, and diligence
• Skilled in problem-solving (hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting)
• Team player with a commitment to safety
• Quick learner, autonomous, and meticulous
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsosted
