As a Data & AI Platform Engineer on the AI & Data Transformation team, you will operate at the core of modern data and AI ecosystem designing, building, and scaling cloud-native platforms that enable advanced analytics and agentic AI capabilities.
Your day could include:
• Designing and engineering modern data platforms, including ingestion, transformation, and serving layers across cloud ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Modernizing legacy data environments, migrating workloads from platforms such as SAS 9, DataStage, Informatica, and Cognos to modern architectures like Databricks, Snowflake, SAS Viya, and cloud-native services.
• Implementing/building transformative use cases on modern data platforms, enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven decisioning.
• Designing and developing agentic AI solutions, including developing AI agents that interact with enterprise data platforms to automate workflows, orchestration, and data-driven decision-making.
• Leveraging agentic AI to accelerate the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including code generation, automated testing, documentation, data pipeline development, and platform operations through intelligent agents and copilots.
• Implementing and managing cloud infrastructure, including platform administration, performance optimization, cost management, and security across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Designing scalable data pipelines and orchestration frameworks, leveraging modern patterns such as ETL/ELT, streaming, and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data and AI platform solutions.
• Driving platform best practices and governance, including data quality, lineage, observability, and reliability to support enterprise-scale AI adoption.

You are a hands-on engineer with strong technical depth in data platforms and cloud ecosystems, combined with a forward-looking perspective on AI. For this role, you bring:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, data platforms, or cloud-based data/AI solutions.
• Strong experience designing, building, and operating modern data platforms in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience modernizing data platforms from sources such as DataStage, Informatica, Cognos, and SAS 9 to targets such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and/or SAS Viya.
• Experience rapidly learning & leveraging & adapting to new programming languages or frameworks on the fly.
• Relevant certifications in Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and/or SAS (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, Snowflake SnowPro, Databricks certifications).
• Strong understanding of data engineering patterns, including ETL/ELT, data modeling, orchestration, streaming, and performance optimization.
• Experience delivering transformative data and AI use cases, including advanced analytics, ML pipelines, and/or AI-enabled applications on modern data platforms.
• Experience leveraging agentic AI and copilots to accelerate SDLC, including automated code generation, testing, documentation, and data pipeline development.
• Strong understanding of cloud platform administration, including security, identity & access management, networking, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams and delivering production-grade solutions.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English (written and spoken), with the ability to work effectively in client-facing environments across Canada.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams.
The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
