What You’ll Do:

As a Sports Field Mower Operator, you'll be responsible for the scheduled mowing of various sports parks across Queenstown Lakes District. Your role includes:

  • Regularly mowing and maintaining sports fields to ensure optimal grass and turf care for high-quality playing surfaces
  • Performing weed eating and edging to keep all areas looking pristine
  • Conducting basic routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it remains in excellent working condition
  • Ensuring fields meet the highest standards of presentation and client specifications

Please note, we would be open to progressing the right applicant through formal training and qualification through a Level 3/4 in Sports Turf Management.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining sports fields. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience with small plant and ride-on mowers preferred
  • A full, current driver’s license with manual capability essential (class 2 is a plus)
  • Enjoyment of outdoor work and pride in a job well done
  • Physical fitness for the demands of sports field maintenance
  • Basic computer skills for equipment and reporting tasks
  • Commitment to Health and Safety policies
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
