Green By Nature is hiring a permanent full-time Mowing Operator based in Port Melbourne to serve the City of Port Phillip. In this outdoors role you will maintain council parks, reserves and selected roadsides, mowing, detailing, litter removal and weed spraying, while safely operating and maintaining machinery and keeping accurate records. You must hold a valid C Class manual licence, ride-on mower experience, a current White Card and Working with Children check or willingness to obtain, and be able to operate zero turn mowers, brush cutters and other power tools with herbicide knowledge. About the Role

As a Mower Operator, you will be responsible for undertaking routine maintenance works in Council controlled parks, reserves and selected roadsides around the City of Port Phillip.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Open space maintenance of council reserves across municipality of Knox
• Mowing, detailing, litter removal, weed spraying
• Safely operating and maintaining machinery
• Ensuring all work is accurately recorded
• Observing and reporting any issues that may impact service delivery

 About You

• Must hold a Valid C Class Manual (C) Licence
• Ride on Mower experience essential
• Current White Card and Working with Children check or willingness to obtain
• Ability to operate Zero Turn Mowers, brush cutters and small power equipment
• Knowledge or herbicide applications and techniques
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check
