Job Description

As a Programme Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the afternoons unforgettable for children. You’ll be working a minimum of 7 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Friday

We are also recruiting for relievers/ casuals for our Central sites. If you are unable to work everyday, please state this in your application and we can always consider your application for our casual role. Our casual staff are rostered on a "need by need" basis therefore there is no fixed/ guarenteed hours for casual staff, providing more flexibility to work. 

  • On Occasion Mornings/Before School Care 7:00 am to 8:30am Monday to Friday.
  • Afternoon/ After School shifts runs between 2.30pm–6.00pm. Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary.
  • Holiday programmes hours available (between 7am - 6pm).
  • Must be able to work across our sites in Central Auckland

  • Supervising and supporting Tamariki in a range of fun, safe activities 
  • Keeping our spaces tidy, clean, and welcoming for children 
  • Helping your Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions that keep kids buzzing 
  • Spotting any hiccups (behaviour, wellbeing, safety) and sharing with your manager so everyone stays supported

Qualifications

We’d love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have the right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship) 
  • Default site located in Takanini however you must be able to get to other sites mentioned above in Manurewa, Papatoetoe and Papakura with a car ideally.
  • Are enthusiastic about working with kids – from babysitting to coaching to volunteering, any experience counts! 
  • Are reliable, energetic, and keen to make every session special
