Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting leadership opportunity for a technically strong engineering professional looking to lead and grow Worley’s Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) capability across New Zealand. As EC&I Discipline Manager, you will provide strategic leadership, technical direction, and people management while supporting successful project delivery and ensuring our capability remains industry-leading, collaborative, and aligned with future market opportunities.

This role can be based in either our Auckland or New Plymouth office.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation engineers and designers across New Zealand.
• Provide strong technical leadership and governance across a diverse portfolio of projects.
• Support resource planning, capability development, succession planning and recruitment activities.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Drive consistency in engineering standards, procedures and technical excellence across the discipline.
• Support project delivery through technical reviews, design assurance and problem solving.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and innovative customer solutions.
• Support business development activities, proposals and customer engagement opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry stakeholders and internal teams.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, digital enablement and continuous improvement within the discipline.
• Champion a strong safety culture and commitment to sustainable engineering solutions.

What You'll Bring

• A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
• Demonstrated experience leading Electrical, Control and Instrumentation engineering teams within consulting, industrial, energy, water, infrastructure or resource environments.
• Strong technical expertise across power distribution, electrical systems, SCADA, PLCs, DCS, industrial communications, instrumentation, process control and automation.
• Experience delivering projects through feasibility studies, concept development, FEED, detailed design, construction support, commissioning and operational support phases.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor engineering talent while fostering high-performing teams.
• Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and influencing capabilities.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of project delivery requirements.
• A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
