Qantas is seeking an Operational and People Safety Advisor for the Americas in Los Angeles, a permanent on-site role that puts you on the frontline of aviation safety, partnering with operational teams to identify and manage risk, lead investigations, and embed practical safety solutions across fast paced, high traffic environments. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years in Occupational Safety and Health, a safety or related degree, strong incident investigation and risk management skills, and the credibility to influence crews through to senior leadership while staying hands-on on the floor. We look for excellent communication, problem solving, and a solid understanding of WHS OHS regulations. As an Operational and People Safety Advisor – Americas, you’ll play a key role in keeping people, operations and environments safe across Qantas Airways’ high-risk, fast-paced operational network.
Working closely with frontline teams, supervisors and leaders, you’ll be responsible for identifying and managing risk, leading investigations, and embedding practical safety solutions where they matter most—on the ground. This is a hands-on advisory role where your ability to influence, build trust and drive behavioural change will directly impact safety outcomes across diverse operational environments.
You’ll partner with the business to strengthen safety culture, improve reporting and governance, and ensure safety practices are not only compliant, but genuinely effective in day-to-day operations.
