Woodard Curran is looking for an entry level Operations & Maintenance Technician to join the Plymouth wastewater facilities team, supporting plant and collection system operations, preventative maintenance, laboratory analysis, data gathering for the operating report, and safety compliance. This full-time on-site role may require on-call coverage, weekends, and responding to emergencies in all weather. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and a desire to learn, with O&M experience or related education; Massachusetts Grade 3 license is preferred or obtainable soon. Expect background checks, a pre-placement physical, and a drug screen. This entry level O&M Technician position will make you part of a team that operates the Plymouth, MA Wastewater Treatment Facilities. Woodard & Curran O&M staff are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plants, collection systems, and ancillary equipment at these sites. Each day presents different challenges and learning opportunities as we work towards 100% compliance which is achieved by daily process monitoring and a comprehensive maintenance system. This full-time position will assist the Facilities with operations and maintenance projects, general facility and grounds maintenance, laboratory analysis, record keeping, and process control.
Essential Duties include:
Our operators participate in an “on call” rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours and shifts may include weekends. In addition, operators will be required to respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed. The general daily schedule is Monday – Friday, 7.00AM – 3.30PM and flexibility will be required.
